Hello I hope you are having a fantastic day!
I have decided to start sharing about my personal Tower Garden in my very own back yard.
This year I started 19 different tomato plants and of course some spring greens, basil and cucumbers to go with all my lovely beauties.
I am wanting to share my weekly pictures with you so
you can see in real time how my Tower Garden is doing.
Just a little about my area I live in Bend Oregon which is in the middle of Oregon
also know as Central Oregon.
The big joke is you can not grow a garden in Bend Oregon without a green house.
I say you can if you have a Tower Garden with wheels on it.
Our temperatures can range within 50 degrees in one 24 hour period and
we even have had frost in late May early June and late August.
What I am getting at with this tower is if I can start tomatoes in the middle of July
and be successful....so can you!
I have numbered my Tower Garden and I printed a sheet of what I planted in the hole for that number.
I have started this Tower with seeds rather then growing starts, then planting.
So what you are looking at is one port hole with rock wool, seeds and vermiculite.
Because this garden requires no dirt the seeds need a medium to grow in,
rock wool is what we use. I will get into all the reasons why this is a great way to grow many veggies.
My seeds are sprouting 3 to 4 days later
There is a mixture of food and water that pumps up through the tube when you set the timer.
I have mine set on 30 minutes off 15 minutes on.
The constant movement of water keeps the plants fed
and the disease away.
After 5 days I have more sprouts but not all have peeked out yet
but some are actually getting tall.
I have more pictures to share and a lot more to tell you about this garden but if you would like to know all the details...watch some videos, order your own Tower Garden and read about the dimensions please go to www.MsVeggie.com
This is my favorite video to show people how
Tower Gardens are used by restaurants!
